6.1 Performance of Contract

Processing your account information and providing the core functionality of the App is necessary for the

performance of our contract with you.

6.2 Legitimate Interests

We process diagnostic and usage data based on our legitimate interests. These legitimate interests include

ensuring the proper functioning, security, and continuous improvement of our App. Specifically, this processing

allows us to identify and resolve technical issues, analyze app performance, and understand user behavior to

optimize the user experience. We have carefully balanced these interests against the privacy rights of our

users and have implemented measures to minimize the impact on privacy, such as anonymizing data where

possible and limiting the retention of this data.

6.3 Consent

We process your location data only based on your explicit consent. You provide this consent by enabling

location services for the App through the settings on your mobile device and confirming your agreement within

the App when prompted. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by disabling location services

in your device settings. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent

before its withdrawal..

6.4 Legal Obligation

We may process your personal data to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject.

7. DATA RETENTION

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it,

including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

• Account information: Retained as long as you maintain an active account, and for a maximum period of 30

days after account closure (as part of our regular backup procedures)

• IP addresses: Retained for a maximum of 7 days as part of our logging systems

• Diagnostic information: Retained in an anonymized form for analysis purposes. This means that the

diagnostic information is processed in such a way that it can no longer be attributed to a specific user

without the use of additional information, which is kept separately and is subject to technical and

organizational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable

natural person

When determining the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the

personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we

process the data, and applicable legal requirements.

8. DATA SHARING AND RECIPIENTS

8.1 Service Providers

We use certain third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

• Cloud Database Services: We use cloud database services with a primary hosting location in Frankfurt,

Germany.

• Google AdMob: In the free version of our App, we display advertisements through Google AdMob. While

we share certain non-personal technical information necessary for ad delivery, we do not sell your personal

data to Google or any other third parties.

• Mixpanel: We use Mixpanel for analytics purposes to help us understand how users interact with our App

and to improve user experience. Mixpanel data is stored in the Netherlands within the European Union. We

share app usage data with Mixpanel for analytical purposes.

• Brevo: We use Brevo as our email service provider for sending transactional emails, such as onetime

passwords during sign-up and password reset links. Brevo hosts its servers in the European Union. We

share your email address with Brevo solely for the purpose of delivering these essential communications.

• Firebase: We use Firebase for analytics purposes.

• App Distribution Platforms: Our app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

These platforms may collect certain information related to your downloads, app usage, and purchases. We

recommend reviewing Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies for more information about how

they process your data.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties under any circumstances.

8.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public

authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

8.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data may be

disclosed or transferred to the acquiring entity or third party involved in that transaction, in accordance with

applicable law. In such event, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email and/or a prominent notice

on our App of any material changes to the processing of your personal data resulting from such transfer.

Where required by law, you may be able to exercise your rights to object to such transfer or to exercise other

data subject rights.

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We primarily process your personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, some of our

service providers may be based outside the EEA, which may involve a transfer of your data outside the EEA.

Whenever we transfer your personal data outside the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where we relied on your consent to process your

11. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

11.1 Mobile App

Our mobile App (available for iOS and Android) does not use cookies in the traditional web sense. The App

uses local storage and similar technologies to store certain preferences and data on your device to enhance

your experience.

11.2 Website

We maintain a landing page website for PlugPrice that showcases the App's features and provides links to

download the App from Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This website uses essential cookies

necessary for the website to function properly. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on our website.

• Essential cookies: These are strictly necessary for the website to function properly. They enable basic

functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.

You can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some

website features may not function properly without cookies.

12. DATA SECURITY

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data from

accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These include:

• Encryption of sensitive data (including passwords)

• Regular security assessments

• Access controls and authentication measures

• Secure development practices

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot

guarantee absolute security.

13. CHILDREN'S DATA

Our App is designed for general audiences and does not specifically target children. We do not knowingly

collect personal data from users under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected

personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
